“So what is it that you do?”
I’ve been receiving some great feedback about this column from you lovely readers. Thank you. Inevitably the conversation turns to “So what is it that you actually do?”
I’m trained in a number of techniques that can help both people and pets. Kinesiology is one that I use the most.
So what is Kinesiology? Usually I start by illustrating which conditions it can help – and that is a huge range from physical aches and pains, through to emotional pain, goal achievement, behavioural changes and everything in between. “So what do you want to change in your life?”
But what actually is it? Kinesiology is science of energy balancing and is grounded in the study of anatomy and physiology. It is the marriage between western and eastern natural medicines. Kinesiology uses muscle testing as a tool to access everything in the body – like a body language system and the kinesiologist uses techniques to “talk” to the body to make it function better.
Kinesiology is the most holistic of all the natural therapies and recognises the importance of body, mind and spirit in health and healing. Kinesiology looks beyond symptoms and does not treat named diseases nor does it diagnose them.
Where, as the result of injury, emotional trauma, nutritional or other unresolved stress, the energy flow is interrupted, the whole body is affected. Energy balancing brings a person closer to achieving any goal of their choice – in sport, relationships, learning or coping with life generally.
